Have you completed the BiM basic course, and are you looking for further in-depth learning? We offer a one-day course on BiM & Basal Stimulation, providing a theoretical framework within which BiM can be applied practically and musically.
Basal Stimulation primarily aims to strengthen the person's sense of self. This is achieved by offering simple, structured sensory experiences. Time and again, we attune to the experience of the child or adult with a severe multiple disability. Is our stimulus perceived? Does the perception become a genuine sensation? Does the stimulus acquire meaning, even if the meaning “lasts” only a single moment? Does the perception give him or her information about themselves and about the way they relate to the world? Do we meet each other in this moment of experience?
During the BiM & Basal Stimulation 1-day course, you will learn in a concise manner what Basal Stimulation entails, and we will translate this into BiM activities.
The study load is 5 1/2 hours. The course is scheduled from 10:00 to 16:30.
The BiM & Basal Stimulation 1-day course is for professionals working with people with intellectual disabilities and in elderly care who have already completed the basic BiM course and are looking to gain a deeper understanding of how the theoretical basis of the BiM method translates into practice.
The BiM & Basal Stimulation 1-day course costs € 265,00.
We’ll be working from the activity calendars you already have. You’ll be sent the digital BiM certificate upon completion of the course. We will also provide coffee/tea/water and a snack, and you’ll be served a tasty lunch.
